Frequently asked questions
Here you'll find answers to the most common questions. If you don't find what you're looking for, feel free to get in touch.
Yes. If cost is what is keeping you from starting, mention it at the free first contact or email info@jhpsicologia.com beforehand. Each case is considered individually, depending on your circumstances and the availability there is at the time.
The content and quality of the work are identical. What changes is the format and the price: in-person sessions happen at the practice in Gràcia, Barcelona, and cost €65; online sessions are held by video call through Clinic-Cloud, from wherever you are, and cost €55.
Yes. I offer a free, no-commitment 30-minute first contact, held online, so you can tell me what you are looking for and we can see together whether the way I work suits you. It is not a therapy session and there is nothing to prepare.
An individual session costs €65 in person and €55 online. For work spanning several sessions at the practice there are packs: €180 for three, €285 for five and €550 for ten, which works out at €55 each. The 30-minute first contact is free.
They are blocks of in-person sessions paid for up front that bring the price of each one down: €180 for three, €285 for five and €550 for ten. They do not expire, and if the work stops partway I refund the ones you have not used. For now they cover in-person sessions only; if you work online and would like a pack, mention it and we will talk it through.
When you book, through Doctoralia. This is private practice — I do not work with insurance companies. The 30-minute first contact is free and requires no payment.
Individual sessions last 50 minutes. Diagnostic assessment sessions are longer, and I confirm the length when we map out the process.
Spanish, Catalan or English. Pick whichever feels most comfortable, and switch language mid-session if you need to.
Appointments are booked directly on Doctoralia, where you can see real availability and pick a time that suits you. If you have questions before booking, message me through the contact form.
The first session is for getting to know each other and understanding what brings you here. There is nothing to prepare and no need to bring previous reports, although if you have them and want to share them, all the better. At the end we decide together how to continue — there is no obligation to carry on.
It is a phased process: an in-depth clinical interview, standardised testing (ADOS-2 and ADI-R among others), and a feedback session where I talk you through the results without rushing and hand over the clinical report. The number of sessions varies from person to person, which is why the price is set case by case: the ADHD pathway starts at €350 and the autism one at €600. I go through it with you at the first contact, before you commit to anything.
It depends on the format. For an in-person session, let me know at least 24 hours in advance and we will move it, no problem; without notice, the session is not refunded. For an online session booked through Doctoralia, the platform's own policy applies: you can cancel free of charge up to 12 hours beforehand, and if you do not show up or arrive more than ten minutes late, the session counts as held and is charged. Emergencies are different — tell me and I will look at it case by case.
You will receive an email with the link and instructions before each session. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone and a stable connection. You do not have to keep your camera on if you would rather not that day.
My practice focuses on adults, and on supporting families of neurodivergent people. If you are looking for support for a child, I can point you towards specialised colleagues.
Please do not. The form is for general enquiries only. All clinical information is handled exclusively through Clinic-Cloud, which is built for it.
